# Find a date with friends or family, no sign-up

**παρέα** · pa-ré-a. In Greek, the circle of close friends who gather to share a meal, conversation, and life. Your parea gathers often. Parea finds the next date: propose days, share a link, see who is free.

Parea is a free web app with no account and nothing to install, made for a small group of about five to ten people. It is also available in [Français](/), [Deutsch](/de) and [Español](/es).

## How it works

1. **Create the plan.** A title, your first name, your time zone. About thirty seconds, no account.
2. **Propose days and times.** Tap Morning, Midday, Afternoon or Evening, or set the hours to the nearest half hour. Several ranges a day if you need them. Google Calendar can help, but it is never required.
3. **Share the link.** Send it to the group chat, by text or by email.
4. **See who is free, and when.** Parea ranks the slots by how many people are free, even when not everyone can make it. Copy the “Let's meet…” message and paste it into the group.

## For your guests, a minute is enough

- They open the link: no account, no app to install.
- They tap “I'm free” or adjust the hours.
- They vote for an activity, if it is not decided yet.

## An alternative to Doodle for friends and family

- Time ranges, not fixed options: everyone says when they are really free.
- Partial overlaps are ranked: even if not everyone can make it, you see the best slot.
- Nobody creates an account: the organiser and the guests only have a link to open.
- Parea is made for small, informal groups, not for large meetings.

## Privacy

- Only the link gives access to the plan.
- The plan is deleted the day after its last proposed day.
- For each slot, participants see the first names of the people who are free. No screen shows the times a person entered, but they can be deduced from those slots.

### Do I need an account?

No. The organiser and the guests only have a link to open.

### How many people can take part?

Parea is made for five to ten people; a plan accepts up to 50 participants, organiser included.

### Do my guests need to install anything?

No, everything happens in the browser, on a phone or a computer.

### Is Google Calendar required?

No. It can help you spot your free time, but entering times by hand always works.

### What happens to the data?

The plan and everything in it are deleted the day after its last proposed day, or 30 days after it was created if no day was proposed.

### Is it free?

Yes. Parea is a free, non-commercial, invite-only beta.
